Xingpai Billiards News has just begun in the third decade of the 21st century. A piece of news detonated the world of billiards: the world’s top snooker arena was officially named: World Snooker Tour.
Looking back on the last ten years, the professional snooker field has developed rapidly. From the 2009/10 season there were only 6 ranked events with a total of 3.6 million pounds (approximately RMB 32.99 million) in prize money, and it has grown to today’s 25 professional events and prize money. A total of 14.6 million pounds (approximately 133.8 million yuan). Snooker was turned into a global sport and entered another golden age.
The past ten years have also witnessed Xingpai and the World Taiwan Federation go hand in hand. This is a worthy note in the development of snooker in China and the world.
In 2007, after years of hard work, Xingpai obtained the billiard table inspection and approval certificate issued by the World Professional Billy and Snooker Association, and has the qualification to use all the world’s high-end professional billiard games. In September 2009, Xingpai became the second partner signed with the World Taiwan Federation in 37 years. In 2014, the two parties signed an unprecedented “5+3” long-term comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement. Since Xingpai partnered with World-Taiwan Federation, the two parties have sincerely cooperated in product, technology, brand operation, event operation, and project promotion.
Xingpai has hosted the Snooker China Open for many years, making it a traditional top event on the snooker tour. In 2012, Xingpai introduced the Snooker World Open with a history of more than 30 years to China. This ancient event has once again entered a new stage of development in China.
In 2010, the Xingpai pool table became the designated table for the high-end events of the World Snooker Tour, and it debuted at the World Snooker Championship for the first time. From the Crucible Theater to the Barbican Center to Alexandra Palace, the star pool table witnessed the shining of superstars, the rise of newcomers, and the continuous improvement of the level of competition.
There is such a data: in the 2010 Snooker World Championships, there were a total of 60 breaks, and in 2019, this number has become 100.
